I got a bunch of twigs in my last journal entry here. The bits of ash and alder can be found in my gallery. The hawthorn I've started to work my way through. Is it just me or is hawthorn a lot of work? Just seems to be so much effort involved in removing the bark! I did six one night and my hands (primarily thumbs) were hurting. Did another two the next day as I was watching TV and couldn't help myself, and got a blister on each hand! o.O ...And I still have about 15 or so to go... They seem to be quite long actually, which makes a change, I guess. The ones I've done so far are currently resting so that they can dry a little before I go over them with sandpaper, and once I've done that, let the pyrography begin!
In other news, started watching "The X-Files" box set again, picking up where I left off last year, so I've worked my way through season six and have now started on season seven.
That's it for now. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Up the Déise!
